    Ep.252 - Ruffstuff Chrysler 8.25 diff cover

    Ruffstuff C 8.25 diff cover. 3/8" Steel bend, welded inside and out, to a 1/2" thick ring.

    Primered, painted, and the grade 8 bolts are in along with the gear fluid.

    Steel Hex Bolt, Grade 8, Zinc Yellow-Chromate Plated Finish, Flange Hex Head, External Hex Drive, Meets IFI 111/SAE J429, Flanged, Non-Serrated, 1-1/4" Length, Partially Threaded, 5/16"-18 UNC Threads

    5 of the 10 bolts I had to trim as they were a hair too long. If you can get these in 1" length they should be perfect for the RuffStuff Specialties Chrysler 8.25 diff cover.

    Tony, that diff cover looks so good! 3/8" should hold up to some pretty serious abuse.

    Would you recommend this? Are you going to put something like this on your front diff?

    Sorry I forget I haven't posted about it here. Yes the first cover I replaced was the front.

    When I ordered mine counter sunk bolt holes were an option as well as a drain. Looks like these options have since been removed from the site.

    • Ring is 1/2" and the Cover is 3/8" thick
    • Plate steel cover bent 8 ways
    • Machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit
    • All seams fully welded inside and out
