I reall can't believe there is not a YJ build up yet, so I guess I'll post the Mudrauder info up, pics to follow just gotta figger out this hosting thing.
Mods to date on this amazing '91 YJ:

-Ford 8.8 from a '99 Explorer
-extended wheel base 2"
-Yukon c-clip eliminator kit w/ chromoly shafts
-Rear Grizzly locker
-D30 with 31spline chromoly shafts
-Front Detoit Trutrac limited slip
-Terra-low kit added on to the np231
-re geared to 4.88
-35x15.50 r15 Tsl boggers
-4" Rough Country lift
-Superwinch Tigershark 9.5 winch
-Custom rear stubby bumper
-1" lift shackles front/1.5" lift rear shackles
-ARB Safari snorkel kit

Still rocking the 2.5l engine, although a 5.0HO swap will happen when this little trooper packs it in. This will be matched up to the C6 transmission and 205 transfer case.
Have a D44 that will go in sometime with a spring over swap to allow for bigger boggers probably 37" or 39"
Custom flat fenders and rock sliders to be installed this winter.

Got a YJ in the extended family, as well as a couple of TJs and a couple of those little things called Mighty Mites. I like the idea of the D44 over the Ford rear end. Not that the 8.8 is a wimp, but the after market is so much more for the Dana stuff. Those 44s have been around for over 70 years now

Yea, I agree with you 4.3, just that I've got an old explorer rusting away out on the back 40... and ya know nothing beats the price of a free rear end. The D44 was for my mud truck, but I ended up grabbing some built 2.5 Rockwells for it, another wicked deal, paid like $4000 for the pair, locked and geared to 5.56. Right now we're pretty busy at work, but when things slow down a bit she's gonna be lots of wire burning in the old mig...

Sounds like fun stuff. What are you going to use for brakes on the rockwells?

They are all ready set up with pinion brakes that should work with the ford stuff, just gotta make up some lines to connect and should be good to go��
